WHO IT'S FOR:
Girls who will be age 10-14 at the time of camp
WHERE WE'LL BE:
WHAT WE'LL DO:
Campers will draw on inspiration from the nature around them and work as a team to create their own art exhibit and/or performance showcase, presented for family and friends at the end of the camp.
*Note: Performance shy? No worries! There are many non-performance ways to contribute to the showcase!
ACTIVITIES MAY INCLUDE:

Art Activities: Arts and Crafts, Camp JAM, Dance, Digital Photography, Drawing and Painting, Friendship Bracelet Making, Music Lessons, Make Your Own Musical Instruments, and more.

Adventure Activities: Hiking, Wilderness Survival Class, Edible Foods Hike, Stream Play

Action Activities: Ultimate Frisbee, Yoga, Horse Care, Zumba

Inspiration Activities: Natural Materials Scavenger Hunt, Listening Walk, Wildlife Observation
Additionally, campers will have free creation time every day.
WHY WE DO IT:
Phenomenal Womxn believes that an empowerment model based in arts education supports the development of self-efficacy, self-advocacy, and self-esteem. Girls entering adolescence are at a critical point in their personal growth, and these skills support their journey toward increased wellbeing in adulthood.

Camp Phenomenal is an empowerment based, arts focused, overnight camp located in the heart of the Catoctin Mountains for girls ages 10-14.
Offering a balance of independence and supervision, Camp Phenomenal is a safe and supportive environment where campers are encouraged to explore, discover, create, grow, and bloom.
Campers will participate in arts-based learning activities including music, multimedia art, and dramatic performance, while also having access to traditional summer camp activities like hiking and roasting marshmallows.
